Forty-eight province members gathered at Bergamo Center located near Dayton, Ohio for the annual retreat June 25-30, 2017.

Retreat directors were Sulpician Fathers Larry Terrien PSS and Mel Blanchette PSS. The theme of the retreat was the French School of Spirituality which is so close to Marist Spirituality. Fr. Larry provided two daily conferences. Retreatants commented that "the quality of the speaker and material was very good" and appreciated the "finest material for reflection."

Father Mel offered the homilies at Eucharist which many praised as "excellent." He shared the challenge of St. John of the Cross' words: "Experience is the language God uses to communicate with us;" and the wisdom in Kierkegaard's insight: "Life is lived forward, but understood backwards."

A memorable event at each retreat is the celebration of anniversaries of profession (P) and ordination (O). This includes a liturgy led by those marking an anniversary and sharing of stories after dinner.
