  • Philippians 2, 6-11
  • Matthew 27, 11-54

THINK ABOUT
"He trusted in God, let him deliver him now if he wants him.  For he said I am the Son of God."  Matthew 27

QUESTIONS

  • What are my plans for the celebration of Holy Week and Easter?
  • Have I looked over the ceremonies and read the Scripture texts?
  • Have I prepared my mind and heart to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus?

MEMORIZE, THINK ABOUT, PRAY OFTEN TODAY
For us Christ was made obedient unto death, even death on the cross.

TODAY I WILL…
Reach out in some way to someone who needs my help.

April 18, 2011 • Holy Week, Monday

"You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me."  John 12

QUESTIONS

  • What did Jesus mean by this statement?
  • Is there a conflict between meeting human needs and our relationship with Jesus?

MEMORIZE, THINK ABOUT, PRAY OFTEN TODAY
Hail to you, our King you alone are compassionate with our faults.

TODAY I WILL…
Try to be compassionate and understanding with someone who annoys me.

  • Have you ever been betrayed by someone?
  • Have you ever betrayed Jesus?

MEMORIZE, THINK ABOUT, PRAY OFTEN TODAY
"You are my hope O Lord; my trust, O God from my youth." Ps 71

TODAY I WILL…
Think about and pray for all those who have been loyal to me.

Lord, as we celebrate this mystery of the suffering and death of your Son, increase our faith in its saving power and strengthen our hope in the life it promises.

Plan as much as I can to participate in the liturgy of Holy Week and Easter.
