Making Memories
(Society of Mary e-Bulletin • Volume 6/Issue 9: May 8, 2018)

During the week of April 24th, 50 students from Notre Dame Marist Academy Middle Division in Pontiac, Michigan traveled to historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and our nation's capital, Washington DC.

The students visited many landmarks and had a wonderful trip.

Their last day in DC was Friday, April 27th. The day began with a tour of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Once the tour was complete, Fr. Ron Nikodem SM, Chaplain at the school, celebrated Mass for our students in one of the chapels.

This was Father Ron's first Mass at the Basilica. The students were thrilled to have Father Ron lead them, as their smiles attest!
